I’m Fr. Jim Petroccione the Rector here at the Church of the Saviour for the last 4 years. However, my history with this wonderful community of faith goes so much deeper. I started here as a new parishioner almost 28 years ago, when my husband was transferred back to New Jersey and we were in need of a new church home. It was a welcoming, inclusive, supportive church back then and still is to this day.

It was also here that I began my journey toward ordained ministry. It was here that I found encouragement and a community to help discern my calling. I was eventually ordained as a Priest here in the Diocese of Newark. I find it nothing less than miraculous and one of my greatest blessings that I was able to return here to this beloved place almost 25 years later as Priest and Pastor.

I invite you to come and join us. I can attest first hand to the beauty of this community, its openness, its inclusiveness and to all the ways they lovingly demonstrate being disciples of Christ. Again, I invite you to come and join us and be part of a group of real people in a real world working together to share God’s love amidst all the ups and downs of a busy life and an unpredictable world.
