Got Faith Regional Community
Church of the Saviour "COTS" participates in the Got Faith Community, a collaborative ministry of the Episcopal churches of St. John’s Boonton, St. Peter’s Mountain Lakes, and COTS. This intentional community was formed in September 2021 for the first program year (Sep – Jun 2022) and is midway through the current program year. The community is formed around the exploration of how to deepen our faith, and look for where God is in our lives – through talks, bible study, and liturgy. Got Faith meets on Wednesday evenings from 7 – 8pm, alternating locations among the 3 churches who participate.
The structure of the Wednesday meetings varies. At the beginning of each program year, there is a series of introductory talks. The rest of the program year focuses on Celebrations of the Word – individual teams lead bible study based on a topic, following the thread of a given topic through the Old Testament, Prophets, Epistles, and Gospels – or Celebrations of the Eucharist. COTS participants formed their own team and alternate with other teams (from the other churches) in presenting the Celebration of the Word.
This community is open to all and newcomers are welcome to the program year now in progress. Please contact the office for more information.
